Hi My laptop model is HP marquee g6 1318ax with amd a4 3305m apu with radeon 6480g and a dedicated 7450m radeon GPU. I rich person been using my laptop for more than four years and it has never gone for a cleaning service. But lately I have been experiencing problems with the devotee and the Central processing unit temps sledding up.So planning to do a complete cleaning of the devotee myself. But I don't want to slay the heatsink and reapply natural spring paste. So is there any way that I can slay and clean the fan alone without removing the heatsink?

There are some areas where thermal pads are used and there is a large break between the heatsink and the crisp it's on. Only way to know is to hump details about your model, then either look for someone that took it apart online or contact support. Thermal pad is pretty cheap, you can rate one and just experience it in-example you need it.

You can clean the buff with a paintbrush and some compressed air without removing information technology. But in many an cases if you have overheating, you postulate to also replace the thermal paste.

Yes - I agree with hang-the-nine - I study on these g6 laptops a lot - replacing the paste is highly recommended and I call back you'll find information technology's non too bad a job - the g6 is quite an straightforward laptop to dismantle.
Here's a further cerebration - once the warmth sink is off - replacement the central processing unit is a 1 screw subcontract and would pack only a minute. You could replace that a4 3305m with a quad core a8 3520m (< $25 new on ebay). It's basal frequency is a little lower (1.6 vrs your current 1.9 - some turbo to 2.5) but in my feel, quadriceps-core makes a dramatic difference overall. Seems like a bargain for $25 to ME.
Oh ... just now for your interest .... despite HP saying max ram is 8 .... it will use 16 just pure.

Thanks to both of you for replying to my query. So since I cannot remove both buff and heatsink separately I will wealthy person to take it out all and repaste it.I have coherent tank surmoun Mastergel pro thermal glue which i chose over arctic 5 and mx4 since both were out of Malcolm stock on Amazon River at that prison term in my country. And then hoping that paste volition do the lin well enough.
In the meanwhile I did read from the HP manual that they use thermal library paste for cpu and thermal pad for GPU.Not sure whether that entropy is for Intel CPU+ AMD combo or is it applicable for some AMD APU+ AMD GPU too?If past I would have to buy out thermal pads as wel for the GPU also which would glucinium really a giving plague.I don't want to completely disassemble the notebook computer and then hold back another two weeks for the caloric pads to arrive. So is there whatsoever way to confirm that whether I would need caloric pads Oregon not for the GPU??
